Post Reading Week
I could summarize this post as “I’m tired and took a long breack” but that wouldn’t be the best devlog now would it.
As I had both reading week and design week off, I spent this time as my fully off week from doing any work on the game. From the couple of weeks prior to reading week I was starting to feel the oncoming affects of burnout. Having been doing as much of the art assets assigned to me as possible was definitely wearing on me in a both mental and sometimes physical manner. Remember yall do your wrist stretches!!
I had two days of my reading week dedicated to doing a homework assignment from a potential co-op then the rest was working at my part time job, I really took design week as my proper break week. Although that wasn’t as restful cause I was asked to help a coworker fix his jumpsuit for a competition. Sewing week more or less. I made sure to communicate all of this to my group members re the burnout and now I feel at a good place to tackle the rest of my required assets. Thankfully, despite being what made me burnt out I did complete a good 80% of my assets before the break so it will be a much smoother time from here on out
